ETCHED TWO TONE

Two tone finishes are available on many of our patterns. This look is created by taking a regular embossed sheet (either brushed or mirror) and etching alternating sections. This creates a stunning contrast to the base material. The result is a remarkable precision product that most would mistake for individual tiles.

COPPER COUNTERTOP MAINTENANCE

Maintain The Original Beauty Of Your Copper Countertop

Copper Countertops:

Our copper products are made of raw, uncoated metals. Copper finish is a living finish and never really stops changing. Over time, your countertop will acquire unique patterns of use. Areas used most frequently will appear lighter and smoother than areas that are used less frequently, which will appear darker. The patina finish is unique to each countertop and no two will end up looking exactly alike. Our copper counter tops and sinks are hand crafted so slight imperfections in the countertop surface are normal and to be expected.

To Keep Your Countertop Surface Clean:

Caring for your copper countertop or sink is surprisingly easy. For basic cleaning simply use a mild soap and water or Windex. Avoid leaving harsh chemicals and acidic foods in your copper sink or on your copper countertop as this can cause discoloration and could lighten or remove the natural patina finish. You should avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials on all your copper products. If you live in an area where the water has a high mineral content (hard water), you may want to wipe your sink down periodically to avoid water spotting and glass rings.

Do not chop or place hot pots and pans directly on the surface. We recommend the use of cutting boards and trivets to minimize marks and scratches. Heavy pots and pans may scratch or dent your copper sink. We recommend the use of a sink grate; it will protect your copper sink as well as enhance its beauty.

Minor scratches and mineral streaking can be brushed out using a household 3M Scotch-BriteTM pad. Deep scratches may be sanded out using sandpaper grades up to 220 and buffed. Brush the countertop in a circular pattern or with the grain to recreate its original finish. This will leave a matte, unpatinated finish. The normal patina will return over time.
